Obituary of Joan Eva Montuori

Piscataway – Joan Eva Montuori, 90, passed away Saturday September 3, 2022 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in Elizabeth, Joan grew up in Newark before settling in Piscataway 59 years ago.  After Joan lost her husband in 1975, she decided to devote her life to fostering children.  Joan selflessly cared for over 300 children. In her free time, Joan enjoyed crocheting, gardening and a nice rainstorm.   In her younger years, she was involved with 4H and raised sheep and goats.

Predeceased by her husband, Leonard; she is survived by her children, grandchildren and all the foster children that have stayed in touch through the years. 

Family and friends may gather in Piscataway Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 2-4PM.  Cremation will follow privately.
