Dorothea Rolle Beirn was born on July 10, 1924, in Newark, New Jersey, to Edward and Dorothea (Wilson) Rolle.

She married George J. Beirn in 1947 in Dunellen, New Jersey and they raised their two sons George Jr. and Steven in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Her husband George died January 22, 1991 at the age of 76.

She is survived by their two sons George J. Beirn, Jr. and his wife Diane of Lanoka Harbor, NJ and Steven T. Beirn and his wife Lorraine of Pflugerville, TX, 5 grandchildren, George J. Beirn III, Lisa Ann Beirn Rabin, Amy Peeples, Kathleen Raynor and David Beirn and 6 great grandchildren, Michael and Owen Peeples, Vivian, Helen and Theodore Raynor and Travis Rabin

Dorothea was a church secretary for New Durham Chapel in Piscataway for many years. She exemplified a life of faithfulness, kindness and patience as she served others in her church and neighborhood. She attributed these qualities to her faith in Jesus Christ. Her favorite verse was 1 Samuel12:24, “Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.”

Visitation will begin at 11am followed by a 1pm funeral service in the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ
