Obituary of Anthony Charles Ciliberto

Anthony Charles Ciliberto of Alpharetta GA (formerly Middlesex NJ) passed away early Sunday morning, January 22, 2023, at age 56.

Anthony was born on December 2, 1966, in Plainfield, NJ to Peter and Frances Ciliberto. He graduated from Middlesex High School in 1985 before attending Ryder College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received his BS in Business Administration. He immediately passed his CPA and began his career in finances. His last position was an Accounting Director at Earnest Partners LLC.

On June 2, 1995, he married Ellyn Weigand. In 1997, they had their first child, Annelise. In 1998, they moved to Alpharetta GA where they had Anthony, Austin, Alissa, and Ava. He worked hard to make sure they were taken care of and felt loved every day. Together, as a family, they had many camp fires, endless vacations to the Tennessee Mountains, Florida, New Jersey, including 10 years to Ocean Beach with the entire Ciliberto family. They were avid foodies. They loved to watch Anthony cook and crack up about his recipes. They also loved to go to dinner together. Anthony and Ellen have since divorced however, they maintain a very civil, open, and loving relationship.

Anthony had a passion for sports and the Atlanta Braves. He played various sports in high school. He was also an avid music lover. He was famous for his Facebook pictures of his dinner creations and memes and for being put in ‘Facebook Jail.' He had an infectious smile, a loud and noticeable laugh, and a kind and compassionate spirit.

Anthony is survived by his ex-wife, Ellyn; his five children, Annelise, Anthony, Austin, Alissa, and Ava; his dad, Peter; his mom, Frances ‘Goettner’; brothers, Peter (Francine) and Thomas; sisters, Monica Esposito (Michael) and Madeleine Buarne; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; along with a multitude of friends from his life’s journey.
