Marge and I became fast friends 19 years ago as we both learned to navigate our new positions in the Early Childhood Office in New Brunswick Public Schools. We quickly grew to count on each other for both laughs and serious support. Marge was exceptionally talented at building intimate connections with people from all walks of life, and she became a role model and a mentor to many. She is already sorely missed for her joy and her beautiful smile, as well as her ability to stay grounded and find humor in the midst of insanity. It will be easy to honor Marge. Her many Marge-isms have become integrated into my thinking and living, and I have quoted her many times: Marge Bailey said...
My deepest condolences to the entire Bailey family. And to Marge: Turtle pins and scarves forever…

Mrs. Marge was a beautiful and intelligent woman. She was a force of nature. There was never a moment that Mrs. Marge didn't have a kind word, a word of encouragement, or a gentle reminder to share. She will be greatly missed and I will forever remember and keep her words in my heart.

Marge was a kind, caring and wonderful person, who always made time for others. Her door was always open with a smile and to lend an ear. We often spoke of her love for gardening and shared some tips to help me save the orchid I was trying to grow. She cared for people the way she cared about her gardening. I feel lucky to have known her! She will be missed.

Marge.. I was so incredibly saddened to hear of you no longer being here with us. Though you may never have known it our paths crossed when I needed it the most. I hope God knows that you helped me walk out of darkness by just caring enough to notice my pain. And that was you always caring.. Without knowing me too well you saw through my mask and unknowingly set me on the road to healing. The world is better because you were and are still here in some form. Rest easy while we meet again some day. A huge thank you my dear Marge.

Q: What will you never forget about Marge?
A: I will never forget Marge’s beautiful smile and sunny disposition. She seriously lit up a room with her presence. I always admired her stylish clothes and her sparkly white teeth. One day I finally got the nerve to ask her how she got her teeth so white. I was surprised that she only used baking soda and peroxide! She and I also loved to talk about shopping for clothes. Then one day she told me she was going to “shop her closet”.
At the collaborative meetings I remember Marge enthusiastically saying “Good afternoon!”and she would repeat it until the audience said it enthusiastically back to her.
She was passionate about her work with the centers and the community that she served. I’m sure it will not be the same without her. Her shoes will be difficult to fill.
I’m glad that I bought her book and had her sign it. She truly was a beautiful person inside and out!
Rest in peace dear Marge.
Until we meet again….

Marge was one of a kind. Though I didn’t get to work with her that closely , we became friendly last year . We would spend the little time we had chatting in the hallway outside of her office . She gave me advice and shared her wisdom . She was a genuine soul and I will miss her happy Friday texts and guiding words . I wish I had more time to develop a relationship with her but will always cherish the time we had!
Sending lots of love , strength and healing to the Bailey family .

Ms. Marge was very special to many of us and I would like to start with this quote: “There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone.” Ms. Marge was more than just a CPIS Coordinator to me, she was also a friends who gave me great advise and encouragement in my personal life as well as professionally. I will never forget that smile. Her life was a blessing, and remembering her would be a treasure. Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.

She is clothed in STRENGTH & DIGNITY, and she LAUGHS without fear of the future…Proverbs 31:25
I had the privilege and blessing to know and work with Ms. Marge for over 15 years. Having conversations with her was such a delight to my soul. Ms. Marge was someone who could relate and give heartfelt, thoughtful insight & wisdom on so many levels from being a grandmother, mother, wife, friend, colleague and sister in Christ - (among many more roles)! She made such a powerful impact in my life especially for spiritual guidance. At times, I felt God speak through her and it always made me know that He was & is always with her. Marge you are the epitome of true inspiration, prayer warrior and L.I.F.E (Live In Faith Everyday - (as you titled your book). Thank you, God, for gifting me with her presence, humility, grace, beauty, laughter and love here on earth. For everyone who knew you, I can honestly say that even though your wings were ready, our hearts weren't :,(
You will be sorely missed...rest in peace!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to have crossed paths with such a wonderful, passionate and supportive person like Marge. I will never forget the positive presence she made at our program. Marge was that person who took the time to show up to events like our valentine's day brunch on a weekend. She did this from the goodness of her heart because she truly cared about supporting our program and our families. She will be deeply missed by all staff members at my school who were lucky enough to get to know this truly wonderful woman.

Marge was my counselor, my friend, a unique instrument that God used to help me in some of the most difficult times of my life. Her friendship was a blessing in my personal and professional life. Surely, I will miss her. Today, I remember Marge smiling, joyful, looking beautiful, and peaceful.

I truly enjoyed working with Marge in New Brunswick, and continued to enjoy seeing her once I moved on from that role. She always made time to listen and chat, and she always had kind things to say to and about everyone. On more than one occasion, people let me know about nice things Marge had shared with them about me, and that was so appreciated. She was warm, caring, and generous and she will be missed.
