Obituary of Mavis A Brier

South Plainfield - Mavis A. Brier, 76, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

 

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mavis is a 1964 graduate of Carteret High School.  She resided in Woodbridge for many years raising her two sons and in 1988, Mavis settled to South Plainfield with her husband, William.

 

An admin for Conti Construction, Mavis enjoyed the time spent at the South Plainfield Seniors participating in chair yogo, gracefully made as well as their various trips.

 

Above all, Mavis cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and spending summers in Wildwood with her family.

 

Surviving are her husband, William R. Brier; two sons, Jamie Gritz and wife Jackie and John Gritz; step children, Melissa Avila and William Brier and brothers, Russell Krum and Randy Krum and wife Denise.  She will also be missed by her four grandchildren, Madison, Bryelle, Gianna and Allison and great grandson, Liam.

 

Family and friends may gather in McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 5-8PM.  Funeral services will begin at 7:30PM.
