Obituary of Anne M. Lazowski
Scranton, PA – Anne M. Lazowski, just shy of 100 years old, died at her daughters’ residence in South Bound Brook on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Born in Scranton to the late Alex and Evelyn (Katrell) Lapshanski, she has been a lifelong resident, but often visited with her family in New Jersey.
She enjoyed taking care of her family as a homemaker and loved to garden. Anne often told everyone when asked, “what is the secret to living a long life?’ – “have an ice cold beer and keep on moving” would be her response.
Predeceased by her husband Al, son Mark, granddaughter Missy Eckert, grandson Ryan Eckert, and sons-in-law; John Latsko, Dale Hoffman, Bob Newcombe and John Eckert. Anne leaves behind her loving and devoted children; Nancy Newcombe of South Bound Brook, Linda Eckert of Manville, Marlene Hoffman of Shamokin, PA, Phil Lazowski and his wife Liz of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Annemarie Latsko of Manville. She will also be missed by fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, PA on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 12:00pm until the funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow alongside her husband in the family plot of the cemetery.
