“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.”
– Winnie the Pooh
Our father/grandfather played an active role in our lives. He made sure we were always safe and loved, providing us with whatever we need without question. He was always willing to help out, whether it was coming over with his toolbox when we needed it or picking up the children when we couldn't take care of them. He also brought us food, knowing how much we enjoy his cooking. We will miss him dearly but will definitely have fond memories of him forever.
Until we meet again.
With love forever in our hearts,
❤️ Caroline, Dave, Caitlyn, and Emily ❤️

My Grandpa is an amazing person. He helped me a lot when I was growing up. He would never like it when I would cry, and he would help comfort me until I stopped. I have many memories of him. One of them will be when he used to pick me and my sister up from school so that we could come to their house. One time when I was in second grade, he picked me up from school.
I learned about Johnny Apple Seed and I wanted to tell him about it. However, since my voice is so higher pitched and Grandpa refused to wear a hearing aid, he would always have trouble hearing me. When I told him about what I had learned, he thought I was saying that I should eat apple seeds. I don’t know how he came up with that, but he did, and the entire car ride he told me not to eat apple seeds. It was hilarious. This is one of my memories of him that I will always remember. I’m really going to miss him. I will remember him as a funny and kindhearted man. I wish I got to spend more time with him, but the time I got will never be forgotten.
I love you always and forever,
Miss Emmy

Grandpa or as everyone else knows as Warren was very smart, funny and great person to be around. He was there for all of us, putting his family first before anything. Whether it was him mastering the stock market, speaking with no filter, or dropping whatever he was doing to come see us, he was a great role model for all of us to grow up with. We all have so many memories with him. In Myrtle Beach, we went to a crab buffet. He hated the fact it took more energy to crack the crab shells than actually eating, so he waited till all of us finished eating to crack his crab for him. The Thursday after I got out of school, I was talking and talking and talking and he found all his energy to say caitlyn shush as loud as he could to take a nap. One thing that grandpa always made sure of was keeping up with our lives and how we’re doing in our sports. Grandpa always enjoyed listening to me and giving his opinions on however I swam and how different it was nowadays. He will forever live in our hearts and forever let him rest his eyes in peace.
Love, Your Granddaughter,
caitlyn

i remember a day when I was being picked up from aftercare, my grandpa asked me if i knew what i wanted to do in life. me being only 6 years old, i asked him what he was. he replied, an engineer, so i said, then that’s what i want to be. I’ve always aspired to be like my grandpa, as he was a hardworking, confident, and kindhearted individual.
i had always been pretty crafty all my life, and nothing was more rewarding than seeing his amazement at my work. he used to say “really? you made this? this is wonderful Keira!” and it would mean more to me than any other complement.
his confidence may have been viewed as stubbornness to some, but he taught me from a young age that i should always stand by what i believe in, and that i should never let another person dictate how i think. even though i was never as assured as he was, i’ve always stayed true to myself and trust my own judgement thanks to him.
in addition, his pure heart always made me feel safe and (as he would say) com-fort-able. sometimes i could be pretty dramatic, and i and i used to cry all the time, but i felt better knowing that my grandpa would make me feel better. instead of trying to make me stop crying, he would ask me what the problem was, and would truly try to fix any problem i was having.
whether it was listing to his stories of his childhood in Jamaica, or waiting for him to join us for dinner after watching 60 minutes on CBS, i’ll always remember and cherish all the memories of my grandpa. i’ll never forget the moment on the cruise earlier this year, when i stepped out of my room on new year’s eve. i was wearing a long dark green dress and two inch heels, and the way my grandpa looked at me made me feel like a princess. he told me that i’ve grown into a beautiful young woman and that i’m no longer the little girl he used to pick up from school every day.
as i get closer to my final moments of high school, i realize that my passion to pursue architecture is partially through my grandpas influence. and while he won’t be there when i graduate and get ready for college, i know that he’ll be smiling from heaven as i walk across the stage and receive my diploma.
miss you dearly , RIP
Love , your 1st grand daughter -Keira

Tribute to Warren
from Len Abesamis
I have known Warren since their courtship days in our shared apartment in 9R in Manhattan in the 70s. Over the years, our meetings were intermittent but I had come to regard Warren as a brother-friend. We got together when he came to visit the Philippines with Connie, he picked me up at the train station in NJ, welcomed me to his home, cooked and shared whatever — old photographs, stories, experiences, fun memories. Sometimes Connie would say he talked too much but I know his remarks came from a good place, and I thank him for having such an open heart. He was never disagreeable and he always helped me figure out currrent political and social behavior.
At last year’s spring break in Florida, when they visited, he must already had been feeling out of sorts but he still tried to make everything pleasant for everyone around —- by cooking breakfast, sharing stories and going along with whatever plans Connie and I had. He even came to church and prayed with us on a Holy Thursday.
Always he expressed pride in his children and said his greatest joy was to see his grandchildren prosper. And grow to be kind and loving beings. And indeed they loved him in return!
When he saw them enjoying the sea and the sands of Delray beach, he smiled a most precious smile and said, “they got my genes— I too love the water, I was a swimmer in the old days!“
Warren indeed lives on, not only in his family and grandchildren but also in us whose lives he has touched. Though grieving and immensely sad at his sudden passing, I’m grateful for the love and care Warren had shown Connie and us, her friends. We will always hold him close to our hearts.

Although I didn’t have the ocassion of being with Warren many times, I found him to be always happy, ready to help out. He doted on his family, and am told that aside from them, he was known for his love of the two “Gs” - - Golf and Grill! Grill for his love of barbecuing!
Be with all the Saints and Angels, Warren! There’s the Eternal Reward - - you lived your ideals and principles. Be with God.

Throughout my life, I've always looked up to my grandpa. He was a strong, kind, and caring man that always put our family before himself. And though he has recently left us too soon, I still can't ever be more thankful for all that he has brought for us. As I get ready to start my jump into high school this fall, I've looked back at all the memories that my grandpa has been apart of, memories I want to hold onto forever. I want to remember him for his strong passion. He loved telling stories and could talk for hours and hours, especially about the things he loved. Those included golf, engineering, math, and Jamaica, his home country. I want to remember him for all the love and care we received from him. Now that I'm older, I can truly see the dedication and devotion my my grandpa took into taking care of our family. He always picked us up from school and drove us to places when our parents couldn't. And he always made sure to prepare lots of food for everyone in our family. Those Saturdays and Sunday nights, gathered around the dinner table are some of the memories that I cherish the most. He took care of our family until the end, when he physically couldn't anymore. And lastly, I want to remember and hold on to all of the great memories and experiences we had with him. All the vacations, holidays, birthdays, and parties spent with him have been some of the greatest moments in my life. Moments that can't ever be experienced again. our timeshare in Ocean City will never feel the same without Grandpa being there. While I will remember lots about my grandpa, I want to remember most the battle he fought against cancer. Those last 2 years must have been grueling for him, but he fought his hardest, despite the struggles. It's nice to know that at least he isn't suffering anymore. Rest in peace Grandpa, an incredible father, and an even better grandfather.
~Love, your grandson Curtis

My sincere condolences To Connie, Chris, Caroline and family.
Our friendship begun from the early ‘70’s in “9R” with Warren and Connie extending hands of friendship that never wavered. I will always treasure and reminisce on those memorable happier times we shared in 9R, Staten Island and Piscataway. Although we were out of touch for a number of years, we reconnected in 2022. Something Warren said to me will always remain in my heart “I will always be your friend”! A simple statement with such profound meaning.
Words cannot diminish the hurt and loss Connie and family are experiencing. I do feel and share in the pain of losing a dear friend. But I will always know Warren as a decent, humble human being.
We will meet again one day.
Eddie, Eddie Jr. and James Ying

Remembering Warren with love and gratitude. His love for his family will live on in his children and grandchildren. In his actions, one could see his joy and attention as he cooked for his family; his excitement in being with Keira, Curtis, Caitlyn and Emily; and the many ways he showed his love and care for Connie.
Warren was the best barista, even before the term was coined! He introduced our family to good coffee. When we visited, we looked forward to Warren making cappuccino and having stimulating chats about anything and everything. We will miss that so much. Today, we toast a cup of java to him and the happy memories.

Memories of our daily commute from Piscataway to the UN from 1977 onwards with Warren driving, Connie by his side, Manny and I in the back seat will forever be part of our foursome adventures. His animated views on current events, his humorous side comments kept us wide awake in that early morning ride. Felt shorter than it really was.
Warren was the ultimate husband, Dad, Grand Dad, Uncle Warren to all kids, including George & Karl.
Rest in peace, dear Warren.
With love, Manny, Chell, George & Corrine, Karl

Warren and I became friends because Ferdie Lyn, our mutual friend who worked at the United Nations introduced us to a bevy of Filipino girls who also worked at the UN.
I will always remember Warren’s flashy blue mercury cougar as we used to double date with Connie Tolentino and I with her roommate. Needless to say, that connection has lasted a lifetime for both of us and is an integral part of my most memorable history.
Our different paths in history separated us far and wide, but we re-connected several times after retirement . A most memorable get together was in Florida April 2022 when Warren and Connie brought two of their grandchildren to spend a week with us driving around South Florida, visiting Key West, the Flagler Museum, Tropical Gardens in Miami, Naples and air boating on the everglades. It was a memorable bonding time with dear friends and a fascinating time to see their enviable bond with Keira and Curtis whose company we also immensely enjoyed.
Warren was one of the most genuine and generous persons I knew. His passing is such a sad and trying time for Connie and his friends.
With deep condolences for Connie, the Family, but also with lots of good memories and blessings,
Philip Chung

This photo was taken aboard our cruise ship in 2017 on our river cruise to Russia. Warren said that the first thing he would do when we get back home would be to grill a large, juicy steak. He then turned to me asked me what would be the first thing that I would do when I get home. I said "Go and have dinner with you." That got a big chuckle out of him.
We will miss you, Warren. Your long time friend and golfing buddy, Phil.
