Obituary of Katherine L. Lawrence

South Plainfield – Katherine L. Lawrence, 88, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Born and raised in Linden, Katherine graduated from Linden High School.  She resided in Rahway working for Jersey City Mortgage Company before settling to South Plainfield 53 years ago where she raised her two sons.   

Katherine had a love for cats and collected different cat memorabilia to display inside and outside of her home.  She also enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles. 

Predeceased by her husband Ernest who died in 2005 and two brothers, Freddy and Carl Michaelis; surviving are her two sons, Ernest Lawrence and wife Lizzy and Michael Lawrence.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 from 6-8PM.

Cremation will be held privately.
