Obituary of Jose Valentin

Middlesex - Jose Valentin, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Born in Puerto Rico, Jose came to New Jersey in the late 1960s and resided in Somerville, where he met his wife of 50 years. He relocated to Bound Brook before settling in Middlesex over 40 years ago.

A longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in New Brunswick, Jose was very active within the church community. He participated in many church groups like Cursillo de Cristiandad, taught CCD, and spent many years singing during the 10:30 mass. In recent years, Jose has been a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin in Middlesex.

After retiring from Zeus in 2011, he devoted his time to gardening and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Elvira (Aquino) Valentin; two children, Maria Clark her husband Paul and Jose R Valentin as well as his sister, Marisel Valentin. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren; Arielle, Sarah, Marissa, Dakota, Isabella and Madison.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 8:45AM in the Middlesex Funeral Home. 528 Bound Brook Avenue Middlesex NJ 08846 followed by a funeral mass at 9:30AM  in Our Lady of Mount Virgin, Middlesex.

Entombment will follow in Resurrection Burial Park.

Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
