In the near 50 years since I first met Rick, I’ve known few people who truly LIVED, as he did. He touched so many people over his lifetime. The rest of us can only hope to garner the love that he did, of both the quantity and quality of humans he enjoyed. The testament of a life well lived. I’ll miss you brother. Say hi to Joey and tip one for me. R.I.P. Ricky!

I’ve known Rick since we both were 16 years old. We raised quite a bit of hell and were inseparable as teens. My favorite memories are Christmas Eve at Rick’s parents’ house, which eventually moved to his house; summer bashes in the Kelly backyard (those parties were EPIC!!!!), ski trips, and New Year’s Day at the Molnars’.
We often went different directions over the years, but no matter how long it had been, Rick was always there for me, smiling and offering a beer. We managed to reconnect when we needed to, or at least when it seemed like “it was time.”
Rick was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, the shoes off his feet, and every dime in his pocket if you were in trouble. No questions, no strings, no problem. If everyone was half as kind and generous as Rick, the world would be a far better place. I wish I could clone him a million times. I am honored to have been part of his life.
Rest in peace my brother. I love you.
Dan

Over 40 years ago Rick came into our lives when he started dating Sandi. So many very happy times and wonderful get-togethers to remember. He is gone but will certainly not be forgotten.
Rick was always there to lend a hand and provide a laugh. He was always willing to help me cook the “Snow Dogs” on the grill at the end of a marathon New Years Eve/Day celebration.
Sandi, Manny, Rae and Eric –the hurting will fade but the memories will always be there.
Love
Dad / Grand Pa

Awful news. Rich was the rhythm guitarist in Southside, the first band I was in, 1975. I last saw him at Bobby And Mary's in Piscataway 14 or 15 years ago. I was playing there with my band and he seemed so happy I was still out there playing. R.I.P. Rick.
