Obituary of Rosemary B. Henninger

Rosemary B. Henninger, 82, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.

Born and raised in Plainfield, Rosemary is a long time resident of South Plainfield, graduating from South Plainfield High School.  She and her husband, Joseph relocated to North Plainfield in 1988 before retiring to Lavallette almost 15 years ago.

A beautician by trade, Rosemary also went to school for her real estate license working for Weichert in Watchung.  She enjoyed arts and crafts as well as playing cards, cooking and baking.  Above all she cherished her time spent with her family and her grandchildren at the beach.

Predeceased by her parents, Frank “Tiger” and Mary LaVecchia and brother, Dr. Frank LaVecchia, surviving are her husband of 59 years, Joseph Henninger; two daughters, Tiffany Meola and husband Antonio and TaraLyn Santagata and husband Luigi and brother, Daniel LaVecchia and wife Patricia. 

She will also be missed by her five grandchildren, Anthony, Alexandra, Ava, Lorenzo and Angelo, nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Roxy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 9AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10AM.

Rosemary will be laid to rest following mass in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.

Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 5-8PM.
