Obituary of Erlinda Soto
Erlinda Soto, more well known to her friends and family as Erly, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 06, 2024 surrounded by her family at JFK Medical Center in Edison New Jersey.
Erly will always be remembered for her love for books, travel and history. Bringing her to the library is like bringing a child to a candy store, she would patiently go through stacks and pick a few to take home and would go through them so quickly you’re back in the library the next week. She enjoys traveling, different countries and cities, learn about its history and culture and she loves to share all these facts and experiences with her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews whenever she sat with them. She also loved her childhood as she would repeatedly recount funny and interesting stories about herself and her siblings as children back home in the Philippines. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Erly was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Resurreccion. Her brothers and sisters, Reynaldo, Romeo, Adelaida, Rolando and Teresita, and is survived by Leticia and Edita.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours, 201 S. Frederick Ave. Gaithersburg, MD 20877 followed by interment at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Rd., Germantown MD 20876.
