Obituary of Helene Treglia

Helene Treglia, 85, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville.  Born in Feketitsch, Yugoslavia to the late Jakob and Kristine (Freidinger) Eng, Helene came to the United States after WWII in the 1950’s and settled in Ridgewood, Queens, NY.  Helene lived in Honesdale, PA prior to moving to Piscataway seven years ago.

She dedicated her time as a homemaker caring for her family.  Helene loved to cook and bake and was a great seamstress.  She enjoyed bingo, soo much that she often would call a “false bingo” because she was so excited.

Predeceased by her husband Tullio in 2016 and by four siblings, Helene leaves behind her son David and his wife Kathy of Ridgewood, Queens, daughter Michele Beck and her husband Robert of Piscataway as well as four grandchildren; Scott and Eric Schneider and Faith and Matthew Beck.

Visitation will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 5pm until 9pm and on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 beginning 10:30am.

Funeral services will begin 11:00am in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 with burial following at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
