Obituary of Wayne Anthony Robertson

Please share a memory of Wayne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Wayne Anthony "Tony" Robertson, 44, peacefully passed away on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. He was a Piscataway High School Graduate Class of 1999 and continued to reside in Piscataway where his passion for NJ transit and road maps as a kid turned into his profession as a bus driver for the company over the last 10 years earning a certificate for dedicated service and also worked with Coach USA for the last year.

His experience learning about weather in college stemming from a interest he had as a kid watching "The Weather Channel", he volunteered his time looking at all the weather forecasts for "Piscataway People" Facebook page so that he could give out accurate weather information to help others and as well as the "Piscataway/Central Jersey Weather and More" Facebook page where he is an administrator and group expert. He was featured in "Tap into Piscataway" as "Piscataway's Unofficial Weatherman" and was well known in town, also contributing roadway information to his weekly post.

When he isn't at home cooking soul food, he enjoys drives to the jersey shore, supporting his favorite professional sports teams such as the New York Mets and New York Jets.

Predeceased by his mother Otelia W. Robertson, he is survived by his father Wayne E. Robertson, sister Otelia "Faith" Robertson (Yakelewicz), Uncles, Aunts, Niece, Nephew and Cousins.

A Memorial service will be held from 10am-12pm Saturday June 1, 2024 at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
