South Plainfield, NJ – William J. Mastrian, 91, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Avalon Assisted Living in Hillsborough.

Born and raised in Westfield, William served with the United States Airforce during the Korean Conflict.  After his honorable service, he settled to South Plainfield with his late wife, Bertha and raised his family.

An electrician by trade, William worked for IBEW for many years.  A devoted member of the North Plainfield Baptist Church William took pride in studying the Bible as well as teaching Sunday school and holding the position of deacon. 

In the summers, William and his late wife Bertha spent numerous hours at the Avalon Beach sharing special moments with his children and grandchildren.  William will be remembered as a dedicated grandfather.

Predeceased by his wife, Bertha; William leaves behind his loving family; daughter Cindy Mastrian; son, Keith Mastrian as well as his five adored grandchildren; Jennifer, Matthews, Joel, Collin and Alex and cherished great grandchildren, Luna, Harrison and Hudson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 ay 11AM in McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ family and friends may begin gathering at 10AM.

William will be laid to rest on his late wife’s birthday at Hillside Cemetery of Samptown in South Plainfield. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in William’s name may be sent to the North Plainfield Baptist Church Youth Group, 543 Rockview Avenue, North Plainfield, NJ 07063.
