Obituary of Isiah Farrow
December 5, 2005 – November 28, 2024
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Isiah Semaj Farrow on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 18.
Born on December 5, 2005, in Plainfield, NJ, Isiah was the cherished son of Ingrid Melissa Crespo and Semaj Farrow. A proud graduate of South Plainfield High School, Isiah had recently earned his diploma and was excited to begin his college journey at Middlesex College, pursuing a business degree.
In his brief yet vibrant life, Isiah excelled in various activities, including track and basketball. His talent and dedication were recently recognized when he was named "Athlete of the Week" in track and field. Isiah was a natural entertainer, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. Whether joking, playing, or competing—where he often emerged victorious—his infectious smile lit up every room.
Isiah was a devoted big brother to his five younger siblings, whom he adored and guided with love. He shared a unique and playful bond with his older sister, Jalia, always finding ways to make her laugh while proudly pointing out that he towered over both her and their mom.
A gamer at heart, Isiah loved playing Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Super Mario Bros. He also had an impressive appetite, savoring his favorite meals, including spaghetti, McDonald’s 20-piece nuggets, and large fries.
Predeceased by his younger sister, Ava Fontanes and maternal grandmother, Felipa Alvares, Isiah is survived by his mother, Ingrid Crespo; his father, Semaj Farrow; maternal grandfather, Ramiro Crespo; paternal grandmother, Sandra Williamson; his older sister, Jalia Farrow; his younger brothers, Alexander, Aiden, and Ruben Jr. Fontanes and his younger sister, Abigail Fontanes; He will also be lovingly remembered by Ruben Fontanes along with close aunts, uncles cousins, extended relatives and friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.
Though his time with us was far too short, Isiah’s light, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 2-7pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 beginning at 11am in the funeral home.
Immediately following the funeral services, Isiah will be layed to rest at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
