Catherine A. Cavaliere Whiting - Catherine A. (Dunn) Cavaliere, 74, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at home. Born in Jersey City to the late James Dunn and Catherine Meaney, Catherine resided in the Middlesex County area for over 50 years She retired to Whiting, NJ in 2000. Mrs. Cavaliere worked as a supervisor at the Woodbridge Public Library for 15 years , retiring in August of 1998. During her employment, she served as the local union president of AFSCME for the Woodbridge Library. A member of the Ladies of the Lake at Cedar Glenn Lakes in Whiting, she was also past president of the Woodbridge GOP Club and the Middlesex County Womens GOP Club. In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by her husband Bernard Cavaliere, who died in 2002 and by 2 brothers; James and Joseph Dunn. Surviving are her 6 children: Bernadette Williams and her husband David of Ormond Beach Florida; Maria Vanderbilt and her husband James of Waretown, NJ, James Cavaliere and his wife Paula of Forked River, NJ, Catherine Goble of Perth Amboy, NJ, Bernard Cavaliere of Tampa, Florida, and Madelon Cavaliere of Piscataway, NJ and 2 brothers; William Dunn of Texas; John Dunn of Whiting, NJ. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made in her memory to Van Dyke Hospice @ Community Medical Center, 99 Rte 37 W., Toms River, NJ 08755 ">
