Patricia A. Gundersen

Groveland, Fl. - Patricia A. Gundersen, Ed.D., 55, died peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, FL following a 3 year battle against cervical cancer.

Patricia was born in Plainfield, the only child of the late Frederick J. & Nora Scott. She grew up in Scotch Plains and had lived most of her life in South Plainfield before recently settling to Florida.

She was employed as an Elementary School Teacher and Curriculum Developer for the Piscataway School district for 29 years before retiring in 2008.

Patricia received her B.A. from Kean University, 2 Masters degrees from Kean and Fairleigh Dickinson University, and most recently, her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in February 2009.

Predeceased by her parents, Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Bill, her daughter, Krista and her son, Scott.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.

Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.

Family & Friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 4-8 PM.
