Mary Strausser South Plainfield, NJ - Mary Strausser, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Haven Hospice in Edison, NJ . Born in Brooklyn, NY., Mary initially resided in Chatham, NJ in the early years of her marriage before her and her late husband, Robert, settled to South Plainfield, NJ in 1963. Mary had been employed as a Key Punch Operator for United National Bank in Plainfield, NJ. She also enjoyed crafts, spending time reading and on the computer. But most importantly she enjoyed her family. Predeceased by her husband, Robert, she is also predeceased by her sister, Susan and a brother. Surviving are her five dear children, daughters, Brenda Kasar and her husband, Bert of Greenbrook, Susan Barutis and her husband, Mike of Stewartsville, Karen Hubbard & her husband, Ted of Stewartsville and Barbara Perrette & her husband, Guy of South Plainfield and her son, Robert Strausser and his wife Sandy of South Plainfield. Also surviving are her twin sister, Betty Mazzucco and seven grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Andrew, Jeremy, Christopher, Dylan & Colin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday night during the visitation hours which are from 4 until 7 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Committal services will be held privately in Holy redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Haven Hospice, C/O JFK Medical Center, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08818
