Greg T. Danik Willcox, Arizona - Greg T. Danik, 58, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tuscon, AZ. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he grew up in Roselle Park before moving to South Plainfield in 1960. He entered the United States Air Force in 1967 where he earned the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged in 1971 after 4 years of service. He left the military and resided in Phoenix, Az., working briefly before returning to New Jersey, where he entered The Citone Institute in Edison. After graduation from Citone, Greg worked for, Colgate Palmolive of Piscataway, National Starch in Raritan and later for ITT in Clifton. At ITT, his experience and technical skills quickly lead him to advancement. After a number of years in the corporate field, Greg's love for the desert lead him back to Arizona where he became a self employed cat fish farmer. He demonstrated his technical skills and artistic abilities by designing and digging his own ponds and filtration system. He also designed and built dome structures that were admired by many. With constant improvements, Greg began to enjoy success with his best season being last year. His father, Frank Danik died in 1992. He is survived by his mother, Betty C. (Collins), his three sisters, Maryellen & her husband, Julian Strauss, Paula & her husband, Phillip Ryan and Diane Danik. His brother, Steven & his wife Lynne. Also surviving are his dear nieces and nephews, Joshua, Jordan, Samara, Aaron, Colleen, Kerri, Jay, Christopher & Benjamin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 12:30 PM in the McCriskin Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia Visitation will precede the funeral services from 9:30AM until 12:30PM. "> "> ">
