Charles A. Gover South Plainfield Charles A. Gover, 83, died on in Monday, December 31, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in the Bronx, NY, he resided in Maywood before settling to South Plainfield in 1964. Charles attended St. John's University in New York where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. He had been working as a Real Estate Agent for Weichert's Realty in Edison for 25 years before retiring in 2002. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during WW II. He and his wife have been long time parishioners of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield. Surviving is his wife Silvana "Sil" Gover, his two daughters and their husbands, Diane & Rick Pagan of Bethlehem, PA. and Patricia & Bruce Grand-Jean of South Plainfield. His two sons & their wives, James & Sandra Gover, of Bridgewater, Paul & Teresa Gover of Frenchtown. Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church. Cremation services will be private. The entombment of his cremated remains in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donation in his memory any be made to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park, P.O.Box 3013, 132 Evergreen Road Edison, NJ 08818. Or the National Parkinson Foundation Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL, 33136.
