Lorraine S. Cochrane South Plainfield - Lorraine S. Cochrane, 62, died suddenly on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in Newark, Lorraine had resided in Hillside for a short time before moving to South Plainfield. A graduate of the South Plainfield High School class of 1963, she then attended secretarial school in NYC. While working as a secretary for Kislak Real Estate Co. In Newark, she met her husband, Bill Cochrane. After marriage, they resided in E. Orange and Parsippany before settling back to South Plainfield. An active and well know mother of four, Lorraine worked as a school bus driver for the former Scalera Bus Company of the Boro. She had also been active with a number of organizations including the South Plainfield Junior Baseball Club Women's Auxiliary and served as the past president and the South Plainfield Pop Warner Football Eagles where she served as the head cheerleading coach. As a mother of twins, Lorraine was a member of the Twin Mother's Club of Plainfield, serving as a past president and is currently the Vice President. Lorraine was an avid bowler who bowled in the women's league at the Brunswick Lanes of Edison and most recently, has been an active member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens where she enjoyed Bingo. She is predeceased by her mother and step father, Mary & Everett Smyllie, her father, Peter Cerven, and her brother, Everett Smyllie. Surviving are her husband Bill, her four children, Brian & his wife, Laurian, of South Plainfield, Billy & his wife Barbara of South Plainfield and twins, Chris Cochrane of Piscataway & Michelle Morin & her husband, Dale of South Plainfield. Her seven grandchildren, Quinn, Ben, Jack, Charlee, Wren & Skylar Cochrane and Emma Morin. Her Sisters in law, Cass Cochrane & karelen Roberts. Also surviving are many dear friends from the Twin Mothers Club especially Carmella Ford and Kathy Gangemi. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ followed by an 11:00 AM church service in St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 3145 Park Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. All are invited to the visitation hours on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 1-5 PM in the funeral home. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church
