Christina Bumback South Plainfield - Christina (Robustelli) Bumback, 92, died on February 9, 2010 at home. Born and raised in South Plainfield, Mrs. Bumback has resided in town her entire life. She is a member of Scared Heart RC Church but her two passions in life was cooking for people and being a foster mother. She was a foster parent to nearly 75 children throughout her life and took special care in all. Christina is predeceased by her husband Frank "Butch" Bumback, her son John R. Cotone, her son in law Bob Doyle, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving are her 3 daughters; Louise Doyle of South Plainfield, Kimberley Honnick and her husband William of Exton, PA., and Grace Cotone of Scottsdale, AZ., her 2 sons; Anthony Cotone and his wife Diana and Ralph and his wife Marge all of South Plainfield, her sister Julia Gajarsky of South Plainfield, 17 grandchildren and was referred to as " Grandma Chris" to her 27 great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
