Milissa M. Rauh "Horse Lover" South Plainfield - Milissa M. Rauh, 48, died on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at the Barbara E. Chung Memorial Hospice in Edison, surrounded by her family, after a long, hard battle with cancer. Born in New Brunswick, Milissa lived in the city for most of her life before settling to South Plainfield in 1989. A graduate of St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick, she later attended UNLV. Milissa left college to follow her passion for horses, working on Wayne Newton's horse farm in Logandale, NV. After returning to New Jersey, Milissa worked for Verizon as a systems analyst in Cranford for 8 years, and later transferred to New Brunswick, where she worked as a Network Technician for 17 years. She continued with her passion for horses, spending numerous hours caring, riding, and even teaching her grandchildren to ride. She is the proud owner of two horses and a new pony for her grandchildren. In addition, Milissa is an avid Indianapolis Colts Football fan and a Dame Grand Cross of the Noble Companions of the Swan Predeceased by her father, William Maszer, she is survived by her husband, George Rauh, Jr., her mother, Grace M. Maszer, her step son, George III and his wife Christine Rauh of Mt. Olive and her brother, William Maszer, Jr. and his wife Marianne of North Brunswick. Also surviving are her dear four grandchildren, George IV, Logan, Donovan and Madison. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 8:45 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 . A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, 56 Throope Avenue, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08901 Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
