Mario T. Bevacqua South Plainfield - Mario T. Bevacqua, 82, died on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Jersey City, Mario resided in South Plainfield for several years. For 25 years he worked as an electrician for Standard Brands in Hoboken. A Seaman 2nd Class with the U.S. Navy, Mr. Bevacqua served during WWII. He was a member of the South Plainfield VFW Post 6763, the Knights of Columbus Council 6203, and the Italian American Progressive League. In addition, he was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church also in South Plainfield. Mario also enjoyed the Jersey Shore and his trips to Atlantic City. He is pre-deceased by his wife Eleanor who died in 1986. Surviving are his 2 daughters: Bonnie Boturla and her husband William of Plainfield, and Donna Franczak and her husband Tony of South Plainfield, 2 sons; Mark and his wife Julie of Pennsylvania and William and his wife Maria of Califon, his grandchildren; Nicole Bickunas, Heather Rufolo, Frank Mamora, Kristin and William Boturla, Tony Franczak, and Mark Bevacqua. Also surviving are his great grandchildren; Joseph, Kaileigh, Brandon, and Justin. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Weehawken Cemetery, Weehawken, NJ Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2600 US HWY #1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
