Obituary of Anne Bogden

Anne Bogden Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother South Plainfield, NJ - Anne (Stepanik) Bogden, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington. Born and raised in Bayonne, Anne married her late husband Paul in 1941. They resided in Jersey City, where they began their family before moving to South Plainfield in 1953. After graduating from Bayonne High School, Anne completed business school and worked as a legal secretary. During WWII she was employed by Western Electric assembling electronic military components. After WWII she devoted her life to the care of her four sons. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Anne served on local PTA boards and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, trips to Atlantic City, and reading. Anne is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Paul A. Bogden, who passed away November 2, 2007 and by her siblings Stanley Stepanik, Marion Higgins, and Olga Mammone. She leaves behind her loving children and their wives; Dr. John and Doreen of South Plainfield, Dr. Paul and Beverly of Flemington, Kenneth and Susan of Summit and Jim and Carol of Mercer Island, WA. Later in life, Anne especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed deeply by grandchildren Jennifer Roberts and Kimberly, Steven, Kate, Kenneth, Donald, Peter and Nicole Bogden. She cherished her three great-grandchildren Cassandra, John and Travis Roberts. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009 beginning at 9:15 in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Relatives and friends may attend the visitation hours on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 2-5 PM in the funeral home.
