Obituary of Elina Merola

Elina Merola Loving Mother, Grandmother & Sister South Plainfield, NJ - Elina (Viotto) Merola, 90, died on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in New York City, Elina spent most of her life in Plainfield and South Plainfield. Elina spent her time caring for her family as a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband Louis J. Merola in 1994. Elina leaves behind her children; Joe and his wife Leona of Todd, NC, Louis of South Plainfield and Angela Wilson and her husband Richard also of South Plainfield; her sister Connie Esoldo of Edison and her grandchildren Allison, Heather and Meagan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 beginning 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery also of South Plainfield Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Friday from 8:45 AM until the service time.
