Mary M. Sarao South Plainfield - Mary M. (Cirone Sarao, 76, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Jersey City, Mary married Anthony Sarao on September 12, 1964 and together they settled to South Plainfield. Mary initially began her working career as a Librarian at the Plainfield Public Library. She later was employed at Queen City Savings Bank working as the assistant manager in Plainfield and was promoted to manager of the Fanwood Branch. She retired 11 years ago from the Accounting Department of the Plainfield Country Club. A member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens, she was a former member of the South Plainfield Suburban Women's Club and a volunteer with Women Helping Women in Metuchen . Mary enjoyed line dancing, taking Yoga classes and playing the organ. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Tony, two sons, Stephen of Summit and Daniel and his wife Renee' of Middlesex, a sister, Margaret Flynn and two brothers; Frank and Dominic Cirone. Also surviving are 2 grandsons; Daniel and Devin. Family and friends may attend the visitation on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ. Committal services will be held privately in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Women Helping Women, 224 Main Street, Metuchen, NJ 08840 or to the Patriots' Path Council Boy Scouts of America, 222 Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
