Alexander A. Ingerto Piscataway - Alexander A. Ingerto, 86, passed away on Friday evening, September 24, 2010 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Plainfield, Alexander lived in Plainfield for most of his life before moving to Piscataway in the early 1980's. A veteran of the United States Navy, Alexander served during WWII prior to his honorable discharge. He had been the owner and operator of the former Al's Floor Waxing and Window Cleaning Company and later worked in the maintenance department for Rutgers University. Alexander is a former member of the North Plainfield Italian American Club and the VFW. Predeceased by his wife, Henrietta, and his siblings, Anthony, Michael, Gladys Santacross and Virginia Santillo. Surviving are his second wife, Jeanette, two children, Linda Ingerto of Edison and John Ingerto and his wife, Kathy of South Plainfield. A sister, Maria Dellipoali and a brother, Salvatore Engarto Also surviving are two grandchildren, Melinda Wordel and her husband, Eric and Anthony Ingerto, and twin great grandchildren, Alexander and Benjamin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family & Friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
