David A. Piscitelli South Plainfield - David A. Piscitelli, 68, died on Friday, March 4, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving and supportive family. Born and raised in Patterson, David had resided in Clifton, Hawthorne and Toms River before settling to South Plainfield in the late 1980's. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served as a radioman 2nd class from 1961 to 1966 aboard the USS Ticonderoga and aboard the stores ship, USS Zelima. David worked for over 35 years in the Banking Industry in various upper management positions before his retirement. In retirement, David worked as a Kitchen Designer for the Home Depot for 5 years. A member of the American Legion Chaumont Post #243 in South Plainfield, he has served in various positions and was most recently a vice commander. David is predeceased by his first wife, Anne (Durski), his second wife, Lenore (Silika), his father, Mario and two sisters, Marilyn and Barbara. Surviving are his children, David A. Jr & his wife Karin, Erica Piscitelli and her husband, Amjad, Jessica Piscitelli and Noelle Piscitelli, his mother, Gertrude (Suter), sisters, Denise, Janice, Diane and brothers, Donald, Steven, Kevin. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Annie, Luke, Elaina, Sabrina and Riley. Funeral services will he held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 beginning 9:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. Bernard of Clairvaux & St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, 368 Sumner Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07062. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from 8:45 AM until the service time. Internment will be held privately in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
