Obituary of David P. Wilson

South Plainfield - David P. Wilson, 71, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at home. Born and raised in Glascow, Scotland, David settled to South Plainfield in 1966 where he proudly raised his family and attended Wesley Methodist Church. He initially worked as a machinist for Color Guard Fence Company the retired from Johnson Street Sweepers in South Plainfield as a Truck Assembler. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Ellen (Brarens) of South Plainfield; three children, Daniel and his wife, Tracy of Newton, NC, Julie Yon and husband, Andrew of South Plainfield and Patricia Zylka and husband Michael of Barnegat; three siblings, Priscilla Pollock of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Jim Wilson and family and Alfie Wilson and family all of Glascow, Scotland and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Nadine Sansone (Andrew) of Hubert, NC, Katie Yon of South Plainfield, Spc. Andrew Yon, Jr. of Ft. Campbell, KY, Emily and Taryn Zylka of Barnegat and Adam and Kayla Wilson of Newton, N.C., and great grandsons, Nicholas Sansone, Dallas Yon and Ryan Sansone and expected great granddaughter. Memorial donations maybe made to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, 2520 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080. Funeral services are private and under the direction of McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals.
