Lillian A. DeLucca South Plainfield - South Plainfield- Lillian A. DeLucca (nee Polizzano) died on Monday, August 6, 2012 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Lillian was born in New York City and moved to Plainfield in 1940. She worked for the Veterans Administration and later for Exxon Mobil until her retirement in 1984. Upon retirement, she volunteered at Muhlenberg Hospital and also was a reader at JFK School in South Plainfield. She was also a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She loved her family dearly and centered her life around them. Her happiness was to be surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank who sadly passed away in the early years of their marriage, as well as her parents; Angelina and Frank Polizzano, a sister; Connie and brother George. She leaves behind her sons; Frank and his wife Betty of South Amboy and George and his wife Kathi, with whom she made her home. She was the beloved grandmother of Michael DeLucca and his wife Kristen; Jennifer Falcone and her husband Joseph; Gwyneth Posey and her husband Scott; Christopher DeLucca and his wife Alison; Kyle; Kaleigh and Colin Delucca. She is also the adored Great Grandmother, "Gigi", of Zoe and Matthew Falcone; Benny and Sophia DeLucca and Madison and Miranda Posey. She also leaves her sister; Rose Rendino of Toms River and many cherished nieces and nephews, especially; Lee Ann Colletta with whom she was very close. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Tuesday August 7, 2012 from 6-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
