Fred A. Koehler
Bound Brook - Fred A. Koehler passed away on September 8, 2012 at Haven Hospice in Edison. He was 78.
He was born in Somerville, NJ but was a lifelong resident of Bound Brook. Fred was the son of Fred and Irene Koehler.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Anita (Rizzo) Koehler, who was his High School sweetheart.
Fred is survived by his two daughters; Beverly Koehler Arat and son-in-law Ron of Glen Gardner, NJ and Lynne Capik and son-in-law Steve of Yardley, PA., and two grandchildren; Alyssa and Jack Capik of Yardley PA.
Fred was able to find love and happiness again with his second wife and family.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife; MaryAnn Royce-Koehler, of Bound Brook, a stepdaughter; Kellyann Rivera and son-in-law Jorge of Easton, PA. and three grandchildren; Breanne, Jordan and Savannah Giberson of Easton, PA.
Fred was a wonderful family man. He adored his grandchildren and also loved his best friend, his dog; Molly. Fred will also be sadly missed by his cousins and many friends.
Fred was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed by Union Carbide of Bound Brook for 30 years before retiring.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Interment will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook.
Visitation is Tuesday September 11, 2012 from 3-7 PM in the funeral home.
Donations can be made to the Adult Day Center of Somerset County, Inc., 872 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807, where Fred was known for frequently volunteering his time.
