Obituary of Robert C. Thieme

Robert C. Thieme South Plainfield - Robert C. Thieme, 74, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at home. Born in Newark, Bob grew up in Cranford and lived in Roselle and Somerset prior to settling to South Plainfield in 1971. A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Bob worked for Rutgers University as accountant for over 30 years An avid reader, Mr. Thieme enjoyed cross word puzzles, was an avid sports fan but most importantly he enjoyed the time shared with his grandchildren. Surviving are his beloved wife of nearly 45 years Carol (Beer), his two children; Kelly Rigelon (Jake) of Hamiliton and his son Robert Thieme (Suzanne Palya) of Bricktown, his sister Elaine Wurster of Hollywood, FL and his two grandchildren; Branden and Emily. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
