Obituary of Peter Swiatek

South Plainfield - Peter Swiatek, 85, died on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Donora PA, Peter settled to South Plainfield fifty one years ago. Although he has lived in South Plainfield for the majority of his life, Peter was still active in the Donora Elks and looked forward to his annual trips back to his hometown. He retired from AT&T in Murray Hill where he worked for 25 years. Surviving are his wife of over fifty years; Marion, daughter; Mary Ann Swiatek of Easton PA, son; Edward Swiatek and his wife Natalie of Scotch Plains and three grandchildren; Lexi and Kyra Swiatek and Alex Robertson. Family and friends may attend the visitation on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Entombment and funeral services will take place in Monongahela, PA under the direction of Frye Funeral Home. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
