Obituary of Lillian Trkula

South Plainfield - Lillian (Sleszynski) Trkula, 91, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2013 at Imperial Healthcare in Neptune Born in Providence. R.I., Lillian was raised in Queens and settled to South Plainfield in 1966. Lillian was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1945 serving as a clerk typist during WWII. She is predeceased by her husband, Michael, who died in 1987. Surviving are two her children; Beverly D'Amato and her husband, Michael and Harvey Trkula, a brother; Frank Sleszynski and his wife Rose and a sister; Violet Cullen. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 9:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
