Obituary of James Katsiaficas

James Katsiaficas, 28, died on Monday, April 13, 2015 in Neptune. Born in Summit, James resided in South Plainfield for most of his life prior to relocating to Bridgewater. James graduated from South Plainfield High School Class of 2004 and in 2007 graduated from Somerset County Technology Institute in Bridgewater. An avid soccer fan, James had a love for cars, was a NY JETS fan and enjoyed traveling to Greece. He is survived by his parents, Soula and John; sister, Kathryn Dean and her husband Jon of South Plainfield; grandmother, Katherine Katsiaficas of Greece; aunt; Helen Giannios and her husband Chris of South Brunswick; nieces, Alexis and Anastassia Dean and cousins, Dimitri and Leana Giannios of South Brunswick. Also surviving are several extended aunts, uncles and cousins in Greece. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Rd. Piscataway, NJ. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6-9pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
