Obituary of Stanley H. Kaufman

North Plainfield - Stanley H. Kaufman, 86, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 5, 2015.
Born in Newark to the late Herbert and Helen (Schank), Stanley resided in Plainfield before setting to North Plainfield 47 years ago.
An honorably discharged veteran of the US Navy, he was the owner of Prescott Luncheonette and Herb's Supermarket. Stanley later worked as a butcher at John's Meat Market. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and vacationing aboard cruises ships.
A member of Plainfield Rescue Squad of 30 years, he was also a member of the North Plainfield Senior Citizen Club.
Predeceased by his granddaughter, Lisa Del Negro and daughter in law, Colleen Kaufman and son in law, David Campbell.
Surviving are his loving wife, Eleanor; two daughters, Nancy Campbell and Gail Ann Kaufman Cain and her husband Gordon; son, Tom Kaufman, sister in law, Anna Bozek and several nieces and nephews.
He will also be missed by his four grandchildren, Scott Campbell and his wife, Gladys, Stephen Campbell and his wife, Erica, Heather Kaufman and Jackie Kaufman and two great grandchildren, Jackie and Camila.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 12 noon in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by interment in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway.
Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 3-7PM in the funeral home.
