Obituary of Theresa V. Kaschak

Waretown - Theresa Kaschak, 83, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River with her family at her side. Terry was born in Plainfield and had resided in South Plainfield for the majority of her life prior to relocating to Waretown in 2008 A lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa, she served the church faithfully in several capacities most importantly as the church Sacristan for 18 years. She was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society, a dedicated worker at the Feast of St. Anthony preparing much of the feast foods in the kitchen, as well as tending to the statue of St. Anthony Referred to as Momma T in her Oceanaire Greenbriar Community, Terry enjoyed knitting, crocheting and taking trips to Atlantic City playing three card poker. Her famous smile will be missed dearly by the many that knew her. Predeceased by her husband Andrew "Kutchie"., she is survived by her daughter, Jo Anne Catelli of Waretown; sister Diane Heaslip and her husband Bob of South Plainfield; her two grandchildren, Michael Catelli and his wife Beth and William Catelli and his wife Joanie; great grandson Mason and a second great grandson, Billy, is expected soon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:15AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 12PM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Cremation services will be held privately and her cremated remains will be laid to rest at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8pm in the funeral home.
