South Plainfield - Richard A. D'Amico, 25, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 Born in New Brunswick, Rich was raised in South Plainfield and graduated from South Plainfield High School in 2006. His pride and joy was his daughter Mia. Richie also enjoyed listening to music and followed various sports. In addition, he excelled at landscape design. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother Rosemarie Vella In addition to his daughter; Mia, surviving are his parents; Lorraine and Robert Zeiss of South Plainfield, his grandfather; Richard Vella of Piscataway, grandparents; Ann and Frederick Zeiss, his aunt; Maryann and her husband Vincent Leporino of Scotch Plains and three uncles; Charles R. Vella of South Plainfield, Salvatore Vella of Scotch Plains; Dave and his wife Heidi Zeiss of Toms River and his girlfriend; Karen Werner of Staten Island. Also surviving are his cousins; Alexa, Brittany and Shanna Vella, Courtney and Jordan Leporino and Ryan and Tyler Vella. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October, 24, 2013 at 11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Family and friends may attend visitation on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM in the funeral home.
