Obituary of Angelina I. Grasso

South Plainfield - Angelina I. Grasso, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Christmas Eve. Born in Melizzano Benevento, Italy to the late Pasquale and Cristina Viscosi, Angelina resided in Argentina before coming to the United States and settling to South Plainfield in 1972. She had worked in Assembly for the former Mattel Toy company in the Borough. Angelina enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. She is the center of her family and will be greatly missed. Predeceased by seven siblings, surviving are her husband of 65 years, Tommaso; three sons, Attilio and wife Mirta, Antonio and wife Joanne and Ernesto and wife Liliana all of South Plainfield. She will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren, Cristina Brea, Tommaso, Antonio, Michael, Angelica and Nicholas and six great grandchildren, Samantha, Ava, Michael, Sophia, Manuel and Angelina. Funeral services will begin on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart RC Church at 10 AM. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Mausoleum. Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the funeral home.
