South Plainfield - Yvonne (Gates) Saintz, 59, died Thursday November 27, 2014 at home. Born January 23, 1955 to the late Robert and Clarabell (Glass) Gates in Rahway, Yvonne resided in Plainfield before settling to South Plainfield for the last 42 years. A former member of Wesly United Methodist Church in South Plainfield, Yvonne worked in the Gillette PathMark as a cashier for many years. She was also a cat lover and adored her two cats, Foxy and Smokey. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Yvonne is predeceased by her husband who died in September; Leslie, step - son; Mark Saintz and four siblings. Surviving are four step - children, Timothy Saintz of Edison, Matthew Saintz (Bonnie) of Nanty Glo, PA, Andrew Saintz of Middlesex and Patricia Toth (Raymond Jr.) of Johnstown, PA and sister - in - law, Carrie Gates. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Angelina, Michael and Robert Saintz of Middlesex, Grace Toth of Johnstown PA, and Brittany and Debbie Saintz of Marianna FL, In Laws, Darlene (Robert) Melikant, Lawrence (Carrol) Saintz of Johnstown Pa and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Saturday December 6, 2014 at 5:30PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Family and friends may attend visitation on Saturday at 2PM until the service time.
