Elizabeth E. Glowatsky Plainfield - Elizabeth E. ( Yurko ) Glowatsky, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in the Haven Hospice within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Larksville, PA., she grew up in Wilkes-Barre PA, then Westfield before settling to South Plainfield where she resided for a number of years. Elizabeth moved into the Cedarbrook Apartments 22 years ago as one of the original tenants and has resided ever since.. Elizabeth was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed spending time with her family, doing puzzles and watching T.V. She is also a former member of the South Plainfield VFW and American Legion Women's Auxiliary and a long time member of the St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church in Rahway, NJ. She is predeceased by her husband, Paul who died in 1986, her son, Paul, Jr. who died in 2011 and a sister, Margaret Modla. Surviving are two daughters; Paulette Almquist and her husband, Stewart, and Diana Dover and her husband, Frank, six grandchildren; Diana Lee, Stewart, Jr., Cindy, Steven Sr., Christina & Scott and five great grandchildren; Alexander, Trey, Steven, Jr., Grace and Annalissa. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 with the Very Reverend Father Andrew Fetchina presiding. Interment will follow in St. John's Russian Orthodox Church Cemetery, Clark, NJ. Family and Friends are invited to join together for visitation hours on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 3-5 PM in the funeral home with Panahida services to begin at 4:30 PM.
