Theresa Kalapach South Plainfield, NJ - Theresa (Sacco) Kalapach, 96, died on April 20, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in New York City, Theresa was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield and her passion was gardening and maintaining her home. Theresa enjoyed cooking for her family, especially around the holidays. She is predeceased by her husband George, granddaughter Lisa Marie, son-in-law Robert Grohe and her siblings; William, Joseph, Angelina, Nicholas, Anna and Grace. Theresa leaves behind her children; Georgann Reinartz of Franklin Park, William and Rhonda Kalapach of East Stroudsburg, PA, Lucille "Lucy" Grohe of Keyport and Anthony and Elsie Kalapach of Union Beach, her five grandchildren, her seven great-grandchildren and by her sisters; Millie and Guido Abbruzzese of South Plainfield and Mary Gallo of Central Islip, NY. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 beginning 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Theresa will be entombed with her husband in the Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in South Plainfield. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the service time.
