Obituary of Marion Joy Minarck

Marion Joy Minarck South Plainfield - Marion "Joy" (Hunt) Minarck, 80, died suddenly on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at home. Born in Dunellen, Joy was raised in North Plainfield prior to settling to South Plainfield many years ago. She graduated of North Plainfield High School. Known by many as Grandma Joy, she had various interests. Joy loved to fish along with her late husband Jack, vacation with family and friends, playing cards and enjoyed family gatherings and reunions. In addition to her late husband, Joy is predeceased by a son in law Nicky DeCillis and a brother Howard Hunt. Surviving are her 2 daughters; Carrie George and her husband Charlie of South Plainfield and Stacy DeCillis also of South Plainfield, 2 brothers; Emery Hunt and his wife Florence of Manasquan and Andrew Hunt and his wife Jean of North Plainfield. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; Amanda, Charlie, Michael, Nicholas, Dana, Jaclyn and Leann. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin- Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. "Joy to the World"
