Pauline H. Faso South Plainfield, NJ - Pauline H. (Deninto) Faso, 102, died at her residence on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Born in Manhattan, Pauline has been a resident of South Plainfield since she was nine years old. Pauline retired from Universal Vest Company in Plainfield after many years as a seamstress. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church and belonged to the Rosary Altar Society. During the time of WWII, Pauline assisted the American Red Cross sewing garments for the service. She was active with the Girl Scouts and was a former scout leader for Grant School in South Plainfield and she enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Theresa (Sully) Deninto, her husband Ignatius, who was a South Plainfield Volunteer Fireman for over forty four years and by her two sisters, Palma Abbruzzese and Julia Mastrangelo. Pauline leaves behind her niece and care giver Loretta and her husband Steve Letostak and by many extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 beginning 9:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home prior to services on Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the South Plainfield Fire Department or to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad.
