During the 1970s and until my husband John's death in 1983, John, Fred Bartch and Dieter enjoyed spending time in Shahola, Pa camping and fishing. They also enjoyed many a Wednesday night at the Lions Club meetings at Medici's restaurant. I remember one Wednesday night when I was so worried about John, because it was 2 AM and he wasn't home from the Lions's meeting yet. I finally called the police to check if he was in an accident or something. The policeman called me to tell me he found John, Fred and Dieter in the Medici parking lot. sitting in one of their cars talking and oblivious of the time. That was what those guys did, they enjoyed each other's company. I can see the three of them now all together again and still having fun!
