As a young girl (maiden name: Flashberg) I was not only a schoolmate of Kathy's, but a member of the Brownie/Girl Scout troop in which her Mom was one of our leaders. As a child of two working parents, once a week I didn't have to go home to an empty house. I'd be at Kathy's house with all of the girls in our troop. Under Mrs. Abbott's leadership we girls always kept busy with the activities offered to us. I remember Mrs. Abbott's calmness and patience with all of us, myself included. I remember the following activity as led by your Mom, Kathy. It was during December that we were making Christmas wreaths using wire hangers and papier mache. I forgot my supplies. Mrs. Abbott had extras on hand. Additionally, as a Jewish girl I knew nothing about making Christmas wreaths. Mrs. Abbott patiently helped me make mine. I think it came out nicely. Because we didn't decorate for Christmas, I gifted it to a neighbor who hung it on their front door. I thank you, Kathy & Diane for sharing your Mom once a week with all of us.

I remember my Aunt Edna for so many reasons..She was a kind and loving person and was nice to everyone..I never saw her angry or mad at anyone.. She was always on an even keel and had a laugh that, if you heard it, you will never forget what it sounded like.. You knew that she was having a great time..My Uncle Jack and Aunt Edna were a match made in heaven.. Both were alike in the love that they shared..We always went to my grandfather's summer house on weekends or Sunday's for a cook out..It was always a great time..In August every year we went to Wildwood, for a week, and it was a family affair..Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends, and some boyfriends, and it was such a good time.. My Aunt is the last survivor of my parents family.. Everyone is gone.. All of my favorite Aunts and Uncles..It was a good family and fantastic one to grow up in.. To Dee and Kathy and all the family you have our sincere condolences.. You also have a ton of memories and she will always live in your hearts..She is now with the Love of her Life again..
Love to you,
Marilyn and Raymond
